Dayton Woman’s Club
Cost: $25, includes lunch & program
In celebration of Junior League of Dayton’s centennial year – and the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment – Dawne Dewey, head of Wright State University’s Special Collections and Archives, will present an informational, behind-the-scenes look at Junior League of Dayton’s founding president, Katharine Kennedy Brown, who was a remarkable force for women in the League, women’s right to vote, and women in politics. Plus: visit with current Junior League members and learn more about how we’re developing the potential of women, promoting voluntarism, and improving communities.
Lunch will feature a menu reminiscent of a 1920s luncheon. Attendees have the choice of a salad: tomato aspic or Waldorf, and entree: crepe with asparagus, ham loaf with mustard sauce or chicken a la King.

The Junior League brand color is ruby and the diamond is the 100th anniversary gemstone – so there is no better combination for this one-time-only black-tie event celebrating a century of community impact. The gala will feature small bites, signature cocktails and a silent auction, followed by an elegant meal and brief speaking program. Our 2020 Katharine Kennedy Brown and Sally Riffle Award winners will be recognized at this time. Then let’s party like it’s 1920 – we’ll keep the dance floor open until midnight.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for the Rubies & Diamonds Gala, please see our Sponsorship Guidebook for more details.
