Prospective Members for the 2010-2011 League Year

The Junior League of Dayton reaches out to all women who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. Each Spring the Junior League of Dayton hosts Open House events to welcome and meet prospective members of the Junior League.

 2010 Prospective Member Picnic

The Prospective Member picnic will be held on August 11, 2010, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Polen Farm in Kettering.  For additional information, contact Jean Love, New Member Committee Chair, at 241-6827 or jlove928@gmail.com.

New Member Class of 2010

The Junior League of Dayton welcomes a class of New Members each year.  The New Member year officially begins in August with a half-day orientation designed to introduce the New Members to the Junior League of Dayton.  With the guidance of New Member advisors, the New Member class works together from September to May of their League year in a training program that introduces them to the history of the JLD and the JLD's impact on the Dayton community and helps them identify their volunteer career path within the organization.

How to Join the Junior League of Dayton in 2009

After six years of active participation in the Junior League of Dayton, a member may become a “sustaining” member of the League. Our sustaining members or "sustainers" fill an important membership role as they offer rich knowledge of the JLD and the community to our active members, possess tremendous leadership skills and serve as outstanding mentors to the active membership.

Whether you are a “New Member,” an “Active,” or a “Sustainer”, each member within the Junior League of Dayton is a unique and valuable asset to the organization.  We value our members and their contributions.
